Holiday Rant.

Hello blog world,
Long time no talk.

As we are nearing my favorite Holiday of the year I thought instead of the typical cheesy holiday post where you write about all of the things you are thankful for…. I will instead do a little holiday post about what annoys the hell out of me this time of year.

  1. Inflatable Lawn Ornaments - Along with my distaste for colored blinking lights and all other front lawn mania, big blow up Santa Clauses make me want to vomit. On your face.
  2. Sobriety – Tis the season for cocktails. Why would you choose to stop drinking at the most festive time of year? DUMB.
  3. Parking Garages – Just because it’s the holidays and you need to buy 17 DVD’s from the Best Buy bargain bin, does not mean you need to wait and cause the entire garage to back up so you can get a front spot. How about give your heart some holiday cheer and park far away and walk your fat ass in.
  4. The Mall – Why is it that around the holidays everyone wants to go for a leisurly stroll around the mall? I want to go in and out, buy my makeup look at the dresses in anthropologie I can’t afford and peace out in an appropriate amount of time. Stop waddling around window shopping and eating your Auntie Annes. Go home and hang out with your family.
  5. Frantic Attitudes – In my book Christmas is about the beautiful things in life…. Family, friends, love. It’s  not the hottest video game, or the biggest car. Yes – I love gifts. But I also love big family dinners, christmas trees, christmas cards, and baking with my family. Life is good. Most of the people in my life are blessed beyond their imaginations. The attitude that “stuff” matters more than people pisses me off. That being said, Mama wants a speedy 35 vintage Louis. Thanks.

Seriously though. Life is sweet. So pour a glass of champagne, turn on some She & Him Christmas, and thank your lucky stars that you are living the life you are living. There are children who don’t know where their next meal comes from, and we live in a country where people have so much food they need to buy extra airline seats……..

I digress…

The point is. We are blessed. And people piss me off.

Cheers!
